The painted architecture of ceiling coffers and Franciscan murals with the cord motif was partly panted over during the brief time the Dominicans were in charge of the mission. They show twelve friars and a central figure, presumably Santo Domingo de Guzman, all dressed in the black and white of the Dominican order.
